weedon bec primary school
Wonder, Belief, Passion, Success.
Welcome to Weedon Bec Primary
We are part of the Innovate Multi Academy Trust, a group of unique village primary schools in the Northamptonshire countryside. Our schools work together to provide an outstanding provision which promotes outstanding results across the whole curriculum.
Our School Ethos and Values
We believe that every child is unique and has a talent for something, whether that is in art, music, cooking or maths. It is our role to work together to develop that talent.
Our latest news and events
Our school continues to remain 'closed'. We look forward to welcoming our school family back as soon as it is safe to do so. Please direct any admissions enquiries to email@example.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Provision update during school closures
Onsite educational provision will be provided for children of Keyworkers, as identified by the government. All home learning will be through online, remote provision.
We would remind all parents / carers that if you consider yourself to be a ‘key-worker’ we need to hear from you in order for your child / children to be considered for childcare provision.
School will be open from 8.30am-4.pm each week day and we are running 2 sessions each day: 8.30am to 12.30pm and 12.30pm to 4.pm. Parents will have to provide Packed Lunches for ALL children who attend. Snacks and drinks will be available throughout the day.
The school buildings continue to be used as childcare facilities and we are utilising current staff on a rotational basis to cover during this period. We have been inundated with kind offers from parents regarding support during this time. Whilst the intention is very much appreciated, we must politely decline as we are keen to ensure that footfall in school and movement between homes and school is limited.
Government directive states that people should stay at home and limit their travel and movement. Additionally, they have sent a strong message that:
“If children can stay safely at home, they should, to limit the chance of the virus spreading.”
Schools also have a duty to protect their children and staff. During this shut down of schools, we will be reducing staffing onsite and will be running childcare provision with a skeleton staff each day.
This is a quickly changing situation so please bear with us in this ever developing time. We are working with current guidance we have been given and this is subject to change. Please understand that we are trying to do our best for everyone in a very difficult situation.
Thanks as ever for your support
Mr Antony Witheyman
Executive Head Teacher/C.E.O, iMAT .
