Exciting new role available at one of our trust schools: Apprentice Teaching Assistant - Rothersthorpe

THRIVE UPDATE: It's been a really uplifting experience for Weedon Bec Primary to have opened the doors to THE LUNCHTIME HAPPY PLACE (Thrive), over the last 7 months. Here individuals have been able to visit, to find peace and calmness. The children are able to acknowledge that it's okay to be sad, angry, worried, have low self-esteem or friendship issues, then learn and develop skills to manage these feelings. To be given positive experiences, to build their confidence, through play, sensory, games, creative arts and of course talking. To believe in their abilities, to find their 'BRAVE' and shine!! We had an eventful last day of term, and now that the dust has settled, some of our staff are back in school today to tidy up. We have a large amount lost property left over, including some towels from beach day. Anything with a name label has been kept aside, and can be collected from the office. Everything else is on a table at the front gate. Please feel free to come down and collect what is yours. Any items of school uniform can be taken for free, as they have been unclaimed all term. All unclaimed items will be bagged up and sent to the charity collection at the end of this week.

During Mr Marlow's assembly this week, children from his bucket drumming and ukulele clubs played for KS2. Each of these children were brand new to both instruments when they joined the clubs and Mr Marlow was really proud of the progress they have made. A massive well done to those involved! Mr Marlow will be continuing both clubs next year so if your child will be in KS2 and would like to join, look out for sign ups in September!

Weedon's Challenge Partners Visit... Challenge Partners is a national network of more than 550 schools and over 110 trusts who fervently believe that working together is the best way to reduce education inequality and enhance the life chances of all children. This programme is a three-day rigorous peer evaluation. Led by an expert lead reviewer, reviews are conducted by a team of headteachers and senior leaders from schools within the Challenge Partners network to examine where the school currently is and where it is heading. On May 20th we had our first Challenge Partners school review. We were lucky enough to have an Ofsted inspector as our lead reviewer. This was a fantastic opportunity to reflect on our previous inspection and showcase the hard work that has taken place. The reviewers worked alongside Miss Hatt and Mrs Price to look at what is working well in the school and the 'Even Better Ifs'.
